MFMA Mission Statement

The Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association (MFMA) is the authoritative source of technical and general information about maple flooring and related sports flooring systems. MFMA’s membership consists of manufacturers, installation contractors, distributors and allied product manufacturers who subscribe to established quality guidelines. Through cooperative member programs, MFMA establishes product quality, performance and installation guidelines; educates end users about safety, performance and maintenance issues; and promotes the use of maple, beech and birch flooring products worldwide.

About the MFMA

Founded in 1897, the MFMA is the only authoritative source of technical information about hard maple flooring. The association publishes grade standards, guide specifications, floor care recommendations and specifications for athletic flooring sealers and finishes available from MFMA headquarters or for download from the MFMA Web site.

MFMA Hall of Fame

The MFMA honors those members, past and present, who have made a lasting impact on the maple flooring industry. Inductees into the MFMA Hall of Fame have accomplishments ranging from founding mills to educating architects and specifiers to developing innovative milling and installation techniques. These outstanding members helped the MFMA become the recognized leader in quality product and technical expertise, and their legacy lives on in the work the association does today.
