The Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association (MFMA) is the authoritative source of technical and general information about maple flooring and related sports flooring systems. MFMA's membership consists of manufacturers, installation contractors, distributors and allied product manufacturers who subscribe to established quality guidelines. Through cooperative member programs, MFMA establishes product quality, performance and maintenance issues; and promotes the use of northern hard maple flooring products worldwide.

MFMA: Uncompromised Quality In Maple Flooring

MFMA Northern Hard Maple Flooring: Quality begins in the northern forest above the 35th parallel where shorter growing seasons and longer winters produce a densely grained wood with rich, consistent color and fewer imperfections. The lumber is kiln dried to a moisture content of 6-9% prior to precision milling and grading.

MFMA Manufacturers: In keeping with procedures established over a century ago, each MFMA member mill is subject to periodic, unannounced third party inspections to assure strict adherence to MFMA rules governing continuity of specie, millage and grading of maple flooring. The underside of each piece of MFMA flooring is marked with the manufacturing mill's identification number, assuring that the product is of the highest quality available.

MFMA Installation: As experienced and reputable sports flooring specialist, MFMA Associate Member contractors are uniquely equipped to assist architects and facility owners in the design and construction of new athletic facilities, renovations and sports floor replacements. MFMA works with Associate Member contractors, finish manufacturers, independent testing laboratories and suppliers of allied products to establish and maintain installation standards to assure maximum performance and longevity of the installed floor.
